Friend inspiration: Andriana; Children's clothing designer and founder of Hank & Jojo, Brooklyn, NY

Andriana aka Andy and I have been best friends since high school, and I have always admired her taste-- in everything! Always at the cutting edge of style, Andy is what I would call a trend forecaster. I recently visited her at her Brooklyn apartment, and snapped a few photos of her stunning decor!
This sofa is absolutely stunning. Even though the style is somewhat classic and romantic, the color is neutral and the fabric is linen, thereby lending itself easily to any decor style. I love how Andy mixed an oriental rug with a modern class coffee table. I also love the light blue walls with the purple curtains. A daring combination in theory, but when you see it here, it looks meant to be!

Andy and her husband decided on a library inspired bookshelf, and created visual interest by color blocking their books!

This industrial style wood and metal stool makes a stylish end table, and the shiny chrome lamp sits atop two coffee table books Andy acquired while traveling.

The photo and clock placement above the flat screen tv serves a few purposes: it takes full advantage of the wall space, leading your eye upward, but also makes it more of a gallery wall,  preventing the television from being the main focal point. The antique credenza is stunning, as is the terrarium in the giant apothecary jar. I love bringing elements of nature indoors!
